Julie Chen Moonves, who was one of the initial hosts and moderators for The Talk (a Daytime Emmy Award winner talk show), returned to host The Talk on August 5th for its 22nd episode. Her writing background was evident before becoming host, but her passion was to write. It actually earned her an Emmy. She also won one Emmy award for exceptional host of a talk show. The Talk is a show which analyzes current affairs by having five host. Chen Moonves co-hosted CBS News' weekday morning program The Early Show in 2002 in 2010 and then became host of the talk show. Before that she was the CBS Morning News anchor and the host on The Early Show. After the terrorist attacks on 9/11, Chen Moonves tracked down the father and lead hijacker to give an exclusive interview. Chen Moonves interviewed celebrities such as Denzel Washington and Angelina Jolie. Also, she spoke to the former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani and Queen Rania. Chen Moonves also reported for the Emmy-winning CBS Sunday Morning news show which featured celebrities such as Jamie Lee Curtis and Paula Abdul.Prior to The Early Show, Chen Moonves reported as anchor and reporter for the CBS-owned WCBS-TV station located in New York City (1997-1999).Before joining CBS News, Chen Moonves was a reporter for WDTN TV Dayton (1995-1997). In 1992-1995, Moonves worked as a producer for ABC NewsOne. The network's news affiliate. Between 1990 and 1991, she served as the desk assistant at ABC News Los Angeles. Her first job in broadcasting was as a desk associate to ABC News' late-night broadcast Nightline together with Ted Koppel, who remains one of her journalists' idols.
